| BUY A HOUSE Buying a house can be a pleasant and memorable journey if you use an experienced and flexible Real Estate Brokerage. ASCEND will guide you through the entire home buying process. Real Estate Brokerage fees are sometimes paid by the seller, so using us to help you purchase your home may not cost you out-of-pocket! To get started, you will need to complete the following ... 1. Get your credit score. Lenders generally require a credit score of at least 620. Higher credit scores give Lenders more confidence in you as a buyer. You can get your credit reports for free (or nearly free) at each of the following Credit Reporting Agency websites. Getting your credit reports from these Agencies will not affect your credit scores. We suggest that you get credit reports from all 3 Agencies. Experian Transunion Equifax 2. Get a Pre-Approval or a Pre-Qualification letter from a Lender. A letter will be required with any offer that you make, so having this Letter ready to go is wise. You may want to start with a Lender that you already have an account with. You can often get a letter online in about 15 minutes. You will need to know your income, and what you spend on bills and payments each month. Pre-Approval Letter : requires a credit chack. This may lower your credit score a little bit, but is considered to be more powerful than a Pre-Qualification letter. With some Lenders, you may be able to avoid a credit check by bringing your Credit Reports to the Lender appointment. You can also ask your Lender for a "soft credit check" which should not lower your credit score. Pre-Qualificaition Letter : generally does not require a credit check, but will often suffice for making an offer on a house. Since there is usually no credit check, your credit should not be affected. 3. Call ASCEND to get started. We will ask you for your credit score, your email address, and a copy of your Pre-Approval or Pre-Qualification Letter. We will ask you for some details about the kind of home you are looking for and for your target house price range. We will then sign a Buyer's Agency Agreement and then start searching for your home. Shortly after, you will start receiving emails about houses for sale as they become available. To view a house, simply call ASCEND to schedule a showing. |
